Sapphires are the traditional gemstone to represent a 45th and 65th anniversary, and are the September birthstone. Diamond is the traditional gemstone for a 10th & 60th anniversary, and is the April birthstone.
Diamond gets is name from the Greek word 'adamas', meaning 'invincible'
